This is Nihil Negativum
Since I was a kid I've been fascinated by horror.
One of my first memories as a child was a "double bill" of "Friday the 13th, Part 3" and the first "Nightmare on Elm Street." I was 4 or 5 years old. Since then I have had a fascination with the subject. No matter how scared I could get back then, I couldn't help but to keep watching. The thrill overpowered the fear.
I suppose doing something 30 years later was a good moment.
Nihil Negativum (Negative Nothing) is a story about life after death. An end, and an eternity.
The story follows Zeke, a janitor for the "Other World", a place where many humans find their end. While he was chose randomly to work there, after his human self died, Zeke considers his "second chance" as a curse. And even more when he has to deal with people.
The story is formed of three parts: "Beyond Darkness," Beyond Knowledge" and "Beyond Nothing," and it's an exploration of a fear greater than monsters, ghosts and death: The overwhelming dread of existance.
Yeah, it won't be too much of a motivational story. Oops.
I hope you enjoy it and you can join me in this new story.
"The life of every individual, viewed as a whole and in general, and when only its most significant features are emphasized, is really a tragedy; but gone through in detail, it has the character of a comedy." -- Arthur Schopenhauer.
